MCAA AiR Fair, May 4
AiR FairMarietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA) students recently “Soared to New Heights” by surpassing their Marietta Reads! Accelerated Reader (AR) point goal for the year and celebrated their accomplishment with an “AiR” Fair. Students danced to the tunes of a professional DJ, they met the challenges of an inflatable obstacle course, and exercised free choice with face painting, celebrity Bingo, a game room, a construction zone, and spa treatments.

Marietta Reads! Factors In All-America City Selection

dfghMarietta selected All-America City among ten best in nation, 2006 As part of the National Civic League process that led to Marietta ’s selection as an All-America City, the Judges required that the city demonstrate a program to benefit children. Marietta Reads!, the Marietta City Schools citywide effort to foster reading and literacy in the community, successfully helped the city illustrate how the program has increased student test scores and book circulation.
